Our ward missionaries
"Talofa lava."
Sister Aperamo joined the church when she was first married because her husband was a member. they soon fell into inactivity. Then their son died and at the funeral the Bishop said, "Sister Aperamo, are you going to come back into the church and live in such a way that you can be with your son for eternity?" She told the Bishop she would come back to church and she's been faithful and active ever since. I think she's been a ward missionary for over 20 years!
Sister Strickland had a brother and his family who were members of the church. She wondered why they were always so happy. "Why are you so happy?" she would ask them. Her life wasn't happy. Finally one of her nephews taught her about the gospel and why he was so happy. She decided to be baptized. Her brother and his family spoke at her baptism and she was blown away by their knowledge of the gospel and the plan of salvation. She's been a wonderful part of our ward and our missionary team.
Brother Benton was the ward mission leader. He is as dedicated as anyone I've ever met. He comes faithfully every week and is excited to teach others about the gospel. He's a convert to the church and knows what it means to be without the gospel and then to receive the blessings of the gospel. He wants everyone to have the same blessings.
Brother Lee is our new mission leader. He is from China. He is very humble and wants to do a good job. He works in Auckland and rides the train to Henderson and then walks home just in time to come to our missionary meeting. I don't think he even has time to eat dinner. He is a faithful missionary as well.
Brother Tauho is the brother we went to the temple with. He's recently become active in the church. He glows with happiness and the spirit of the gospel. He is a ward missionary now. He's a companion to Brother Benton.
These are our ward missionaries. We love them all. What great examples to us.
