Adeline and her mother, Linda, at the hospital
In September we received a call from our ITEP missionaries in Tonga, saying that the daughter of a dentist, serving a 3 month humanitarian mission there, at the detail clinic in Tonga, had fallen out of a tree and had broken the femur in her right leg. She was flown to the children's hospital in Auckland, New Zealand for medical care. They asked if we could go and visit her, since she and her mother didn't know anyone in New Zealand.
We were glad to visit her in the hospital. What a great experience it was for us to see the love and devoted care Linda gave Adeline during this stressful time. It was truly Christ-like.
When Adeline was released from the hospital they came to stay with us for a week while she convalesced. It was a privilege for us to share part of this experience with them. It was amazing how quickly Adeline healed. After a week she was up in a wheel chair and walking around the room on crutches. We will always remember this special time with them.
