As part of our trip to Tonga we visited the island of 'Eua and the church middle school there. It was quite an experience. The entire flight took 8 minutes in the smallest plane I've ever been on. We were met at the airport by one of the teachers at the school. We visited classes and had an enjoyable day. When it came time to return to Tongatapu that afternoon, we were told the plane wasn't coming, due to mechanical difficulties! We were totally unprepared to spend the night on Eua. No clothes, no toiletries, no food and there was no other way back to Tongatapu since the ferry left at 8:00 a.m.

The teachers at the school helped us find a place to stay the night. We slept in our clothes, and remarkably had a pretty good night's sleep. When morning came we headed back to the airport. The plane arrived and we flew back to Tongatapu. Here are a few pictures of our adventure.
